Our donation drop off point volunteers are an integral part of what we do. We have donation drop off locations all over Sydney but we are always looking for more.
Our drop off location volunteers must
Our drop off point volunteers can opt-out or pause their location at any time and they can nominate specific conditions for how they would like people to deliver to their homes. They are supported by our admin team every step of the way and each and every volunteer is a valued member of our Ward Angels family.

Our admin team works behind the scenes, running all of our donation drives and events through social media. It is a role that is shared with multiple volunteers so the workload is shared comfortably and we are in constant communication with each other. This role is 100% online except for the possibility of 1 or 2 face-to-face meetings a year. It's rewarding and super fun. We have a lot of laughs and some great group chats.
Role includes
No previous skills are required (we're happy to train you) but a moderate to high level of understanding of Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin and programs such as Canva would be an advantage.
If you would like to support the work we do and think you could help in one of our admin roles please contact us by clicking on the button below.
Ward Angels run multiple donation packing and sorting days throughout the year. Our packing days are always full of fun, with music, food and good laughs- all while working hard towards a great cause.
To get involved with one of our packing and sorting days please join our Ward Angels Volunteer Facebook group via the link below. We will put a post up in this group whenever a packing day is coming up.
So much of our work is receiving thousands and thousands of donated goods from businesses and members of the community, then distributing those goods to the specific wards and hospitals that need them. In order to get the donations to the families who need them most, we will often need help from volunteers with pick-ups and deliveries.
If you have some spare time, enjoy driving and would like to help support our cause then helping us with our deliveries might just be for you.
Driving is needed all over Sydney Metro as well as occasionally in the Central Coast, Blue Mountains and Newcastle area.
This is not a regular role. You can put your hand up for as many or as few deliveries as you like. When we are needing help with a delivery we will put a post up in our volunteer Facebook group. Anyone who would like to help is then free to put their hand up. It's a simple, no pressure role but vitally important to the work we do.
If you would like to help with deliveries please join our volunteer Facebook group via the button below and keep an eye out for our posts requesting help with deliveries.
Please reach us at josie@wardangels.org.au if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Yes, children over the age of 8 can volunteer at our packing days, depending on the venue. Please check with our admin team before attending a volunteer day with a child.
You do not need a working with children check to volunteer with Ward Angels unless you are helping at an event within the hospital, dealing directly with children. We will inform anyone wishing to volunteer for one of these roles about the appropriate checks required prior to the event day.
Ward Angels is a community organisation, run entirely by volunteers. There are no paid roles within our organisation, including our administrative team and directors.
Absolutely, we welcome volunteers of all abilities. There are some packing day venues that aren't wheelchair accessible so please check with the admin team first when applying for a volunteering role at one of our packing days.
