Helping to make life in hospital as easy and as comfortable as possible for sick children and their families.
We donate goods that provide comfort, entertainment, distraction and support for children in hospitals across NSW
We connect community members with a desire to help sick children to the true needs within the hospitals. Our work also creates plentiful volunteer opportunities, bringing like-minded people together for a common cause.
We donate goods that support many programs within the hospitals as well as goods that support staff directly in their efforts to make hospital life more comfortable for sick children and their families.
Our founder Josie Dincel has been chosen as one of three finalists in the Westfield Local Heroes campaign.
The finalist with the most public votes receives a $20,000 grant for their organisation.
Voting is now closed, and as we wait patiently for the results, we thank you for taking the time to vote. We really appreciate all your support.

Brand new socks and underwear in original packaging is needed in the thousands! These are used for the patients and families when dealing with urgent situations, accidents leading to clothes needing to be cut and families dealing with financial hardship who find themselves in hospital with their child much longer than expected. They are also donated through the Aboriginal Health outreach programs run through The Children's Hospital Westmead and are given to families in rural Australia.
These are the items we are desperately needing due to low stock. They are used in our emergency toiletries bags given to families with a sick child in hospital.
Needed in large numbers for all the wards and departments in multiple hospitals across NSW.
Used within the Neonatal Intensive Care Units across NSW. Parents reading aloud to their babies promotes bonding and more positive outcomes. Ward Angels donates hundreds of books every year and our stock is running low.
Ward Angels provides supplies used to create special keepsakes, all presented inside a beautiful white box. These boxes are given to the staff, who will guide the families through the process of making the keepsakes when they suffer the loss of a child.
Items needed:
Painting canvases of various sizes, large ink pads in various colours for hand prints, large, soft paintbrushes, acrylic paints, small satin drawstring bags, USBs for images.
Used in all the wards and departments within multiple hospitals across NSW.
These toys are used for play therapy, occupational therapy, mental health strategies and to calm and distract children in difficult situations.
